According to statistics, Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), one of the world's largest steel producers, shipped about 1.29 million tons of galvanized steel in Russia in 2019, reaching a record level in its history.
Over the past 20 years, MMK has actively invested in the production of high value-added products and continued to increase its production volumes with high profit margins.
In 2002 and 2008, MMK began investing in two high-performance continuous hot-dip galvanizing lines with separate production capacities of 500,000 tons and 450,000 tons per year. In 2012, MMK installed two-stage cold rolling plants. In 2017, the company invested in continuous hot-dip galvanizing plant No. 3 with an annual production capacity of 360,000 tons.
