Posco discusses coping strategies after COVID-19

The Korea Herald reported that Posco opened its two-day Posco 2020 forum on Wednesday to diagnose the rapidly changing business environment and assess the group's future business strategies. The live-streamed forum was organized with a limited number of personal participants, including presidents of Posco and subsidiaries in the Greater Seoul region, along with experts, following heightened social distancing measures amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the company said.

Posco Chairman Choi Jong Woo said, “To overcome challenges and continue to grow steadily as a reliable 100-year-old company, we need an approach to continuous evolution, understanding changing trends and reading the values ​​of the era. I hope this forum serves as a place for us to have a realistic overview of the nature of our work as we meet the demands of our stakeholder groups and their changing thoughts. ”

On the first day of the forum, the company organized lectures and discussions about the current business environment in the COVID-19 era, as well as companies' survival strategies. On the second day, participants will discuss future plans and strategic directions for Posco's core businesses.
