India's Ministry of Steel said steel companies are supplying medical oxygen from their factories to various hospitals across the country as they step up the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ministry recently launched a portal that provides information on oxygen availability and daily supplies by the various factories and states to which these supplies were sent. According to the ministry, the states that received oxygen from the steel mills are Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Haryana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
