According to statistics from the French Steel Federation (FFA), crude steel production in France in August was about 720,000 tons, down 31.1% from 1.05 million tons in the same month a year earlier.
In the first eight months of this year, crude steel production in France was down 27.5% from the same period last year, with an average monthly output of about 910,000 tons, up from 1.25 million tons in the same period a year earlier.
