A plant for the production of budget electric cars is already under construction in the city of Kokand. It will be located on an area of 30 sq. Km. According to the local Forbes, the project is overseen by the private company Schaffof Omadli Sanoat. Not without the Chinese: the Silk Road Company also takes part in the project. The first Uzbek electric cars should come off the assembly line next year.
Externally, the transport resembles Mercedes-Benz, especially the radiator grille and optics. The electric car has a fully automotive "equipment": steering wheel, pedals, transmission. The maximum speed of an electric vehicle is stated differently: according to some data, it can accelerate to 45 km /h, according to others - up to 80 km /h. The travel range will be up to 150 kilometers. For comparison, the 2013 Nissan Leaf with a 24 kW battery can cover the same distance without a charge. The battery capacity of the Asian car has not been reported. This ratio of price and technical characteristics makes the car convenient for urban conditions - heavy traffic and short trips.
According to experts, the investment in the project is $ 30 million. Most of this money belongs to foreigners.
It is predicted that the electric car will be in demand in the Ukrainian cities. To the low cost should be added the “zero” VAT rate on the import of electric cars in our country.
