A mini-laboratory for the collection of PCR tests was opened on the basis of Pokrovsky GOK

This week, a mini-laboratory for the collection of PCR tests began its work in the premises of the Cultural and entertainment center of Pokrovsky GOK. This need arose in connection with the rapid spread of coronavirus infection among the residents of Pokrov and employees of our plant.

According to the data, COVID-19 has already affected 545 residents of Pokrovsk, including 105 workers of the GOK. The presence of the disease was detected by a PCR test (polymerase chain reaction) in a city clinic or a private laboratory. Previously, after a positive result, a medical facility tested everyone who came into contact with an infected person. Now, under the terms of the new Protocol from the Ministry of Health, PCR is taken only from patients with obvious symptoms of coronavirus - shortness of breath, cough, pneumonia.

According to the management of Pokrovsky GOK, a similar situation leads to an increase in the number of cases, because the presence of the virus (especially if the disease is asymptomatic) is not detected at an early stage. Potentially infected people continue to go to work, carrying COVID-19. In order to prevent such unfavorable development of events for the company's staff, it was decided to independently test its employees.
