Global crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) was 158.3 million tonnes (Mt) in November 2020, up 6.6% from November 2019. In Asia, China produced 87.7 million tonnes of steel in November 2020, up 8.0% over November 2019. India produced 9.2 million tonnes of steel in November 2020, up 3.5% over November 2019.
