Metallurgical companies JSW Steel and Jindal Steel are in discussions with Indian vaccine manufacturers to place orders for their employees.
The JSW Group currently employs about 55,000 people and the vaccine will be distributed to its employees in factories, corporate offices, townships, etc. Initially, the company purchased 200,000 doses from one of the local vaccine manufacturers and 2 vaccinations each for each person if this program can be approved by the Indian authorities.
In addition, the JSPL will seek government guidance and vaccinate all of its staff, with those over 50 and infected with the coronavirus to be vaccinated first.
Other companies would prefer to wait until it becomes available to corporations, including Tata Steel, AMSN, and others.
