According to the report, the World Trade Organization (WTO) has postponed a decision on US steel and aluminum tariffs until the second half of 2021, giving President Joe Biden more time to resolve related disputes.
The US government has imposed anti-dumping duties (AD) on imported steel and aluminum products from many countries since the first half of 2018, setting tariffs at 25% and 10% on steel and aluminum products, respectively.
Recently, the US Court of International Trade supported the Trump administration in imposing anti-dumping duties on imports of the aforementioned products for reasons of national security.
The WTO has received several applications regarding US tariff measures from China, the EU, India, Norway, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey.
