A modern hydrotechnical facility for thickening of enrichment wastes will be built at Severny GOK. The complex will allow the mill to cut costs and reduce the burden on the environment by reducing energy and water consumption. Metinvest will allocate more than UAH 3 billion for the construction of the complex.
The tailings slurry thickening complex of the Northern GOK is the second industrial facility of this type in Ukraine, which will be built using international practices. The design is carried out by the German company ENGINEERING DOBERSEK, the project is managed by Metinvest Engineering.
The construction of a new complex for the Northern GOK is a rational approach to the use of energy resources and land for production. By reducing electricity consumption for pumping slurry up to 50%, we reduce the prime cost of concentrate and this enables the plant to become more profitable and invest in modernization in the future.
Severny GOK is building the largest pulp thickening complex in Ukraine
