French media reported that some companies in the Alvance Aluminum group, part of the GFG Alliance, are preparing for bankruptcy. However, this is probably not a direct result of the collapse of the financial company Greensill, a subsidiary of Sanjeev Gupta. The French have been fighting to avoid bankruptcy since last summer.
France Press reported that three French factories from the Alvance Aluminum group are about to file for bankruptcy. Poitou has two foundries (aluminum and cast iron) and an aluminum disc plant in Chateauroux.
