High CO2 prices make it difficult to transform the economy. Huge financial resources that we could spend on transforming the Polish energy sector end up in the accounts of foreign hedge funds. This is a problem for the entire European industry.
CO2 emissions allowance prices have risen rapidly for several months, reaching 49 euros per tonne. This negatively affects all CO2-emitting industries, and the European electricity industry, which is mainly based on coal and lignite, also suffers from this, so the official Brussels must intervene.
