According to statistics from the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat), stainless steel production in Russia in the first five months of this year was about 83,000 tonnes, down 4.5% over the same period last year.
In May alone, stainless steel production in Russia totaled 17,000 tonnes, up 4.5% month-on-month and down 2.5% year-on-year.
