According to the results of the work of metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine in July 2021, there is an increase in steel production by 7.1% compared to the same period in 2020 - up to 1.875 million tons, retaining the 14th place in the ranking of 64 countries - the main world producers of these products, compiled by the World the Association of Steel Producers (Worldsteel).
In July, an increase in steel production by July 2020 was recorded in all countries of the top ten, except for China.
The top ten steel-producing countries in July-2021 are as follows: China (86.790 million tons, a decrease of 8.4% compared to July-2020), India (9.848 million tons, an increase of 13.3%), Japan (8.007 million tonnes, an increase of 32.5%), the USA (7.479 million tonnes, an increase of 37.9%), Russia (6.665 million tonnes, an increase of 13.4%), South Korea (6.127 million tonnes, plus 10 , 8%), Turkey (3.229 million tons, an increase of 2.5%), Germany (3.021 million tons, an increase of 24.7%), Brazil (3.007 million tons, an increase of 14.5%) and Iran (2.550 million tons, an increase of 9%).
This is followed by Italy (2.250 million tons, an increase of 29.2%), Vietnam (2.230 million tons, an increase of 61.6%), Taiwan (China, 1.960 million tons, an increase of 14.8%), Ukraine (1.875 million tons). tons, an increase of 7.1%) and Mexico (1.710 million tons, plus 36%).
In general, in July this year, steel production increased by 3.3% compared to the same period last year - up to 161.686 million tons.
For seven months of this year, the top ten steel-producing countries looks like this: China (649.330 million tons, an increase of 8%), India (67.976 million tons, an increase of 28.7%), Japan (56.065 million tons, an increase of 16, 2%), the USA (49.543 million tons, plus 18.5%), Russia (44.883 million tons, an increase of 9.2%), South Korea (41.325 million tons, an increase of 8.7%), Germany ( 23.641 million tons, an increase of 18.9%), Turkey (22.934 million tons, an increase of 17.7%), Brazil (20.970 million tons, an increase of 22%) and Iran (17.831 million tons, an increase of 9.9% ).
This is followed by Vietnam (15.082 million tons, an increase of 69.3%), Italy (14.991 million tons, an increase of 26.5%), Taiwan (PRC, 13.452 million tons, an increase of 8.2%), Ukraine (12.732 million tons). tons, plus 7.4%) and Mexico (11.170 million tons, plus 19.1%).
In general, for seven months of 2021, 64 countries produced 1 billion 165.340 million tons of steel, which is 12.4% more than in the same period last year.
As reported, in 2020, the top ten steel-producing countries were as follows: China (1 billion 52.999 million tons, an increase of 5.2%), India (99.570 million tons, “minus” 10.6%), Japan (83.194 million tons, a decrease of 16.2%), Russia (73.4 million tons, an increase of 2.6%), the USA (72.690 million tons, "minus" 17.2%), South Korea (67.121 million tons, a drop by 6%), Turkey (35.763 million tons, "plus" 6%), Germany (35.658 million tons, "minus" 10%), Brazil (30.971 million tons, a drop of 4.9%) and Iran (29.030 million tons , more by 13.4%).
This was followed by Ukraine (20.616 million tons, "minus" 1.1%), Taiwan (China, 20.570 million tons, "minus" 6.3%), Italy (20.2 million tons, a drop of 12.9%), Vietnam (19.5 million tons, an increase of 11.6%) and Mexico (16.854 million tons, a decrease of 8.3%).
In total, 64 countries produced 1 billion 829.140 million tons of steel in 2020, which is 0.9% less than in 2019.
