Tax payments of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih for 8 months of 2021 more than doubled compared to the same period last year

Kryvyi Rih, September 8, 2021 In January-August 2021, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih transferred almost 9.3 billion UAH taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels, more than 2 times the total amount tax payments for the same period last year. This amount can be compared with the total payment of salaries to Ukrainian teachers for a year and a half or with the state's expenses for the purchase of vaccines against COVID-19 this year. Of the total amount of taxes and fees, 5,100,000,000 UAH went to the state budget and 1,200,000,000 UAH - to local budgets. The company transferred 735 million UAH as a unified social contribution and UAH 2.3 billion as value added tax on the import of raw materials and materials.

The main increase in payments for 8 months of 2021 is provided by income tax (3700000000 UAH) and rent for the extraction of iron ore (515 million UAH). Payments by ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih to local budgets also increased. Here the main driver of growth was the land tax - an increase in 8 months is 236 million UAH. In addition, payments from the wage fund have significantly increased: income tax - plus UAH 66 million, a single social contribution - plus UAH 35 million compared to the same period last year. This was a consequence of the increase in wages in May and the payment of an additional bonus to all employees for the birthday of the enterprise in August 2021.
