Vietnam's steel exports jumped sharply in August

Vietnam's domestic market has been impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic, so the authorities have stimulated export sales of the steel industry.

Moreover, Vietnamese mills have just acquired excellent opportunities amid a strong trend in global steel prices, which has boosted sales of coated steel in the US market.

According to statistics, the export of steel from Vietnam in August reached 1.54 million tons, up 33.8% over the previous month, the export price also increased by 1% over the previous month.

In addition, total exports from January to August amounted to 8.54 million tons, an increase of 43.4% over the same period last year.

The main destinations to which Vietnamese mills exported in August were China and the United States, while the countries of destination from January to August were China and Cambodia.
