German steelmaker ThyssenKrupp relaunched blast furnace # 1 on October 1. This blast furnace was shut down in July for reflining.

Blast furnace # 1 of Thyssenkrupp can produce 10,000 tons of pig iron per day.

From 2025, all four of the steel giant's blast furnaces will be gradually replaced with direct reduction iron technologies to replace green hydrogen coking coal.
