CherMK improves the quality of sheet products

In the metal finishing workshop No. 1 of the Cherepovets Metallurgical Combine (an enterprise of the Severstal Russian Steel division), new equipment was put into operation - a sheet shot blasting unit. The launch of the unit will improve the surface quality of high-strength and heavy-plate products, the press service of the company reports.

"The blasting machine allows you to get rid of the scale layer, which cannot be achieved with other equipment. In addition to the aesthetic component, the new installation will help eliminate the omission of other defects hidden under the scale layer," the message says.
