British Steel has announced a mild steel roadmap outlining how to achieve its zero emissions target.
In line with UK commitments under the Paris Agreement, the company has pledged to invest in a range of technologies to produce zero-clean steel by 2050 and significantly reduce CO2 emissions by 2030 and 2035.
Earlier this year, the company announced that it is increasing the amount of scrap it uses at the smelter to reduce carbon emissions, and will increase that amount even further by 2023.
