Results of production of MMC of Ukraine for 11 months of 2021

According to the updated data, in January-November 2021, metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine produced:

agglomerate - 30.34 million tons (104.7% compared to January-November 2020);
gross coke (6% vol.) - 8.73 million tons (99.0%);
pig iron - 19.44 million tons (104.5%);
steel - 19.62 million tons (104.9%);
rolled products - 17.55 million tons (105.0%);
pipe products - 0.91 million tons (115.7%).

As of December 14, 2021, of the main operating production facilities, 15 out of 21 blast furnaces, 7 out of 8 open-hearth furnaces, 10 out of 16 converters, 5 out of 15 electric furnaces, and 14 out of 17 continuous casting machines are in operation.

Iron ore raw materials:

The provision of metallurgical enterprises with iron ore raw materials in January-November 2021 was carried out in accordance with the needs of metallurgical production. There was no air defense system import.

The export of air defense systems for 11 months of 2021 is 40.67 million tons (97.2% compared to the same period in 2020).

Coking coal:

For 11 months of 2021, 11.83 million tons of coal for coking (97.4% compared to January-November 2020) were supplied to Ukrainian coke-chemical enterprises, of which:

Ukrainian origin - 3.32 million tons (100.2% compared to January-November 2020);
imported - 8.51 million tons (96.5% compared to January-November 2020).
The share of imported coal in the total supply in January-November 2021 amounted to 71.9% against 72.7% in the same period in 2020.

Coke:

The total volume of coke produced by metallurgists in January-November 2021 is 7.670 million tons (103.0% compared to January-November 2020), of which:

of Ukrainian origin 7.166 million tons (97.9% compared to January-November 2020);
imported - 0.504 million tons (409.8% compared to January-November 2020).
The share of imported coke in the total supply for 11 months of 2021 is 6.57% against 1.65% in January-November 2020.

Imported scrap metal:

In January-November 2021, 3,535 thousand tons of scrap metal was procured (134.1% compared to the same period in 2020), of which 2,987 thousand tons (114.7% compared to January-November 2020) were supplied to Ukrainian consumers as imported. Exports of scrap metal in January-November 2021 amounted to 548 thousand tons (1661% compared to the same period in 2020).

Natural gas and electricity:

For 11 months of 2021, domestic metallurgy consumed about 1.72 billion cubic meters of natural gas (100.9% compared to January-November 2020).

Electricity consumption by metallurgical enterprises in January-November 2021 is about 10.45 billion kWh (103.6% compared to January-November 2020).
