Recently, JFE Steel announced the development of FM1300S nickel-free powder alloy steel with a tensile strength of up to 1300 MPa. The impact strength, fatigue strength and cutting ability are also very good.
High-temperature sintering above 1200°C does not require the use of a special furnace. This requires conventional sintering with a maximum temperature of 1150°C.
This not only saves a lot of money for users, but also reduces energy consumption and CO2 emissions because the parts can be continuously inserted into the furnace using a conveyor belt. The production efficiency is higher than that of high temperature sintering to produce parts.
