The European Steel Producers Association (EUROFER) has asked the European Commission to impose higher anti-dumping duties (AD) on hot-rolled coil (HRC) from Russian steelmaker Severstal.
EUROFER reports that the current AD duty rate for Severstal's hot-rolled coil is EUR 17.60 per ton, compared to EUR 53.30-96.50 per ton for other Russian producers and exporters. Therefore, the association demanded to raise the AD duty rate for hot-rolled steel from Severstal to 70-75 euros per ton.
After EUROFER filed a petition in May 2020, the European Commission initiated a review of these fees last January, with the final result expected to be ready by 10 April.
