Due to the sharp rise in coking coal prices, Indian mills have increased their HRC offerings by another $35-$40/t/week to $770-780/t FOB India for March deliveries. They say that they have every opportunity to conclude export deals.
Due to the growing supply in Southeast Asia, the plants have also increased offers to the United Arab Emirates and neighboring countries.
Offers to Europe increased by $10-30/t/week to $890-900/t in Italy and $910-915/t in Antwerp and Spain. It was known that some deals of 1000-1500 tons each were concluded at a price of 900 US dollars per ton in Antwerp. Meanwhile, offers for Turkey rose to $820-825/t cfr Turkey against buyers' offers at $810-815/t. Last week, a large Indian mill closed a deal on SAE 1006 at $810/t cfr Turkey.
