The European Commission has announced a positive final decision to end the anti-dumping inspection of pipes and fittings made of iron or steel made in China, while continuing to levy a duty of 58.6% AD.
At the same time, a duty of 58.6% AD also applies to Chinese pipe fittings exported to the EU via Taiwan, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and the Philippines. The companies involved do not include Taiwanese Chup Hsin Enterprise Co., Ltd., Rigid Industries Co., Ltd. and Niang Hong Pipe Fittings Co., Ltd.
The products used are classified under the CN codes ex 7307 93 11, ex 7307 93 19 and ex 7307 99 80 (TARIC codes 7307 93 11 91, 7307 93 11 93, 7307 93 11 94, 7307 93 11 95, 7307 93 11). 7307 93 19 91, 7307 93 19 93,7307 93 19 93, 7307 93 19 94, 7307 93 19 95, 7307 93 19 99, 7307 99 80 92, 7307 99 80 93, 7307 99 80 94, 7307 99 80 95 and 7307 99 80 98), excluding molded fittings, flanges and threaded fittings.
The investigation period is July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, and the injury assessment period is January 1, 2017 until the end of the follow-up investigation period.
