According to statistics from the German Steel Federation (WV Stahl), crude steel production in Germany in April this year was about 3.3 million tons, down 11.8% compared to the same month last year.
During this period, the production of hot-rolled steel in Germany decreased by 13.1% year-on-year and amounted to approximately 2.9 million tons.
In the first four months of this year, crude steel production in Germany amounted to about 9.8 million tons, down 3.7% compared to the same period last year; the output of hot-rolled steel was about 8.7 million tons, down 5.4% year on year.
