Russian steel pipe manufacturer TMK has announced that the company plans to bring hydrogen transport pipes to market in the second half of this year. Currently, tests of pipes for transporting hydrogen are being completed.
As part of the forthcoming transition to low-carbon technologies, TMK will continue to supply its products to the nuclear power industry and renewable energy sources. The company also planned to provide pipelines for hydrogen energy projects and offer solutions for fuels such as green ammonia, biodiesel and biomethane.
It was clear that energy conversion products now account for about 15% of TMK's shipments. The company indicated that it would continue to increase the share of these products and believed that there would be strong demand for such products.
