Export of semi-finished products from Ukraine for the first four months of this year amounted to about 1.2 million tons, which is 55.3% less than last year. The value of exports fell by 45% to approximately US$707.8 million.
Among them, Italy was the leading country that imported the most semi-finished products from Ukraine, accounting for 19.6% of Ukraine's total exports of semi-finished products. Bulgaria and Turkey came in second and third with 17.2% and 14% respectively.
As for iron ore, exports of iron ore from Ukraine amounted to 13 million tons, which is 8.6% less than last year. The value of exports fell by 33% to US$1.58 billion. China accounts for the largest share, around 24%, followed by Slovakia (16%) and Austria (14%).
In the field of ferroalloys, exports from Ukraine amounted to about 222,000 tons, which is 89.3% less than in the same month last year. However, the value of exports increased by 58.5% to $391 million year on year. Portland, Turkey and Italy separately accounted for 61%, 18.6% and 17.6% of Ukraine's total ferroalloy exports.
