According to the Ukrainian pipe industry association Ukrtruboprom, steel pipe producers in the country reduced production from January to May to about 176,000 tons, down 16% from last year.
In May alone, Ukrainian producers of steel pipes increased their output by 2.5 times compared to the previous month to 45,000 tons.
New export supply chains through the EU seaport will increase production. In addition, due to the Russian-Ukrainian war, the United States suspended the 25% duty on Ukraine for one year. As a result, Centravis in Ukraine, a global manufacturer of seamless stainless steel pipes, has decided to increase supplies to the US.
