Tata Steel said the corporation received 75,000 tons of coking coal from Russia in May, and the deal was completed before a decision was made on April 20 to stop business in Russia.
According to an April 20 announcement, Tata Steel has already ended business with Russia. After this announcement went into effect, Tata Steel no longer purchased PCI coal from Russia.
Tata Steel has become the first global steelmaker to terminate business relations with Russia due to its military actions in Ukraine.
In India, the UK and the Netherlands, steel mills will find other substitutes for raw materials to reduce dependence on Russia.
