ArcelorMittal has announced a successful collaboration with Gestamp, a leading Tier 1 vehicle supplier in Spain, on the use of low carbon steel for use in automotive components during the testing phase.
Their ultimate goal is to make these automotive components suitable for vehicle production in Spain and further across Europe.
ArcelorMittal's XCarb® is a renewable and recyclable decarburized steel that is also produced using 100% renewable electricity. This can cut carbon emissions by up to 70% compared to not using XCarb®.
