Argentina produced about 493,000 tons of steel products in October, up 10.1% from the same month last year, according to the Argentine Institute of Iron and Steel Industry (Camara Argentina del Acero, CAA). This was the highest transaction volume since April 2012.
During this period, the total volume of hot-rolled products (flat and non-sheet) amounted to 418,000 tons, which is 0.3% less compared to the same period last year. The production of cold-rolled flat products amounted to about 115,000 tons, which is 1.2% lower than in 2018.
In the first ten months of 2022, Argentina produced about 4.2 million tons of steel products, which is 5% more than last year.
