Iran produced 11.112 million tons of steel products in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-September 22), the Iran Steel Producers Association (ISPA) reported.
The Iranian steel industry has been constantly developing in recent years, despite all the pressures and obstacles created by external forces such as US sanctions and the coronavirus outbreak, which has seriously affected the operations of the world's leading producers.
The country is expected to rise to seventh place among the world's largest steel producers by Iranian calendar year 1404 (March 2025).
